As much as we need our footy players to play the game, they simply couldn’t take the field without the incredible people working tirelessly behind the scenes.
A massive thank you to the backbone of our club our Executive Committee:
President – John Dunn
Vice Presidents – Genie McMullen & Simone Neyland
Treasurer – Lauren Dunn
Secretary – Myah Sullivan
If only everyone could see the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to have the football club we are so proud of today.
The hours. The meetings. The phone calls. The emails. The paperwork. The judiciary matters. The planning. The organising. The problem solving. The things that pop up at the very last minute. The jobs nobody ever sees.
So much happens away from the football field to make sure our players can run onto it each weekend, and an enormous amount of time, effort and love goes into this club.
But of course, none of it is done alone!
We are incredibly lucky to have an amazing General Committee and so many people who put their hands up throughout the season. From online scoring, refereeing, LeagueSafe, sports trainers and bus drivers, to coaches, managers, canteen and bar helpers, gate workers and everything in between you name it, someone has stepped up and done it.
A HUGE shout out to our groundskeeper, Sully! 👏
Our oval looks absolutely spectacular ALWAYS! What people see on game day is the result of countless hours of work behind the scenes, and we are so lucky to have someone who takes so much pride in making Tom Knight Memorial Oval look as good as it does.

And to everyone who came together to help us host the 2026 Grand Final THANK YOU. What an enormous effort! So many people gave up their time to make sure no stone was left unturned and that this was a Grand Final to remember. From the weeks of preparation to the early mornings, late nights and endless jobs on game day, it truly took an army and you all delivered.
To our players’ families, partners and supporters thank you for everything you do. For the travelling, the washing, the late dinners, the rearranged weekends, the cheering from the sidelines and for supporting the people who love this game so much.
And finally, to our wonderful Cobar community…

The way this community gets behind its sporting clubs is something incredibly special. Whether it’s volunteering, sponsoring, attending games, decorating businesses, buying merchandise, sharing our posts or simply turning up and cheering you are part of the reason this club is what it is.
This Grand Final wasn’t just about the teams who took the field.
It was about a club. A community. A town.
And we could not be prouder.
It takes a village and ours is pretty bloody special.
