Cobar Country Cup

Unfortunately we only had 2 teams show interest in this years Country Cup.
It is deflating to know that we had such a successful year in 2022 but now struggle to run another.
We want to know from YOU what we can do to be able to run another successful fun day.
What months are best to run the carnival?
What can we do, to make it more fun?
How can we get you interested?

Did you know...
Cobar Country Cup consists of just 3 people.
Even though we run under our local Netball club, there are just 3 of us behind the scenes

A little about us:
- We all grew up in Cobar and around each other
- We have a passion for Netball & play in our local comp
- We all played for the "Blues" back in the day when Cobar was apart of the Northern Riverina Competition
- We love doing great things for our Community
- We are a Teacher, Office Administrator and A Tourism & Events Manager.

CCC has only been able to run 1 Carnival so far which was in 2022 and oh man was it a great one!
We had 10 teams and ran 2 pools on the day which totalled 36 games plus finals.
We were so excited that we were able to run all 3 courts at once which was something that Cobar hadn't been able to do for many years.
Unfortunately the weather man was not happy that day and we had to move the Carnival to the Youth Centre to be undercover. This meant we had to cut back to 2 courts, adjust our draw and playing times to make sure we seen out all the remaining games.
This was a massive day for us and we couldn't have been more prouder to see it all unfold, in to what we hoped could be a yearly Carnival.
Last year we tried to hold the Carnival again, but sadly we did not get enough teams.
We are really hoping to be able to run the Cobar Country Cup this year on the 9th of March.
Not only is it just a carnival, but to us, it is something that we hold close to our hearts and are pleased to be apart of.
