Now that the dust has settled and the adrenaline has worn off, I can say that was an awesome weekend at the On all 4s challenge. Grogu performed better than I expected. With the help of my superb navigator, Craig Parsons, we tackled the 8 tracks that the On All Fours 4WD Club had painstakingly built for us. By sundown on Saturday, we were four tracks down and had suffered a slightly dodgy isolator that needed some attention. We headed off to the night stage. This year, the rules were different, as we now had a bonus line on the stage, and we had to nominate if we were going to take it on before we started. There were 100 points minus penalties for finishing without a bonus attempt or 200 points for a bonus attempt, but if you failed, you ended up with only 80. Needless to say, Grogu decided to put on a show and bounce his way to a tire on top of the bonus, then kept on bouncing until he was lying on his side. After the recovery and a quick systems check, we drove back to camp for the night with only a bent window net rod. Sunday was the same as Saturday, trundling through the last 2 “dry” stages of the weekend before we headed off to the last stage, Duckies Dam. Not much had changed with this stage except the dam's level was slightly lower than in previous years. With only about 50m of track to go, it was when I noticed that some carnage had befallen my steering wheel! One of the three spokes had snapped and a second was well on its way. Under the careful guidance and wisdom of my navigator (we only have 50m to go, just send it), we completed the concrete stairs out of the dam to finish the weekend. After loading up on some drinks and snacks for the kids, we all headed up to the presentation. Our club did well with Dallan Ritzau taking out Men's standard class, Leonie Crick 1st in Women's Open class, and Roger Franklin in the comp toy taking out third in Outlaw Class. With the excitement building over who was going to take the top spot, the names were called out and it was Grogu for the win….by 2 points! Needless to say, I was shocked and overjoyed by the results. I want to say a massive thank you to the On All Fours club for putting on a great weekend and to HillFab for the first-prize gift voucher; the new steering wheel is awesome.

Over the Kings Birthday weekend we took Grogu out to On All 4s Challenge stretch his legs and learn more of what he is capable of. Massive shout out to my navvy Craig Parsons for the help getting everything ready and being in my ear telling me to just drive it. Overall I was very happy, had some awesome drives, some id rather forget and learnt a massive amount about what this little truck can do.
