"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers,"

4 teams. 120+ touring members. Countless unforgettable moments.

Traveling to the first home-soil Bingham Cup in over a decade was always going to be electric, but the energy in Brisbane blew us away. Surrounded by dozens of teams, hunderds of players, and waves of spectators; four Convicts sides left everything out there.

Every single squad fought their way to either a semi or a grand final. Our 1XV fought gallantly and should be immensely proud to walk away as the 2026 Bingham Cup runners-up. The 2XV and 4XV put in huge shifts all weekend, both having tough runs that were stopped just short in their respective semi-finals. In the end, it was our 3XV / Old Boys who secured the silverware, going all the way to be crowned the 2026 Bingham Bowl champions!

Win, lose, or draw, we couldn't be prouder of every single player who pulled on the jersey and represented this club. From rookie tourers throwing themselves into their first Bingham to the veterans putting their bodies on the line one more time, everyone bought in, backed each other, and wore this crest with pride.

Results aside, this tour showed the heart and soul of our club. Through the wins and losses the Convicts family showed up for each other every single minute. That’s what being a Convict is. Nothing beats being part of this club. Nothing rivals the IGR community. And nothing touches this brotherhood.

Thank you once again to our awesome hosts Brisbane Hustlers for such an exceptional tournament, to the IGR community that supported each other all weekend, and to all the people that helped make this tour a reality.

🏆 YOURE A WINNER BABY 🏆

After years out to pasture, and just half a training session before the tournament the Old Boys have completed an undefeated tournament winning the Bingham Bowl over Vancouver.

For the first time they had to chase the match, and showed up when it mattered. The boys pulled back to win 15-14.

Congratulations to our Oldies and welcome back!

Hard earned but we're here. It takes a village to get this far. While our 3XV and 1XV will take to the field for finals today it is on the backs of our managers, coaches, support staff, and players who missed out that we do so.

Day three is done!

1XV are in finals 🎉🎉🎉 A tough and physical start to the day against the Seattle Quake was followed by a nail biting extra time finisher against our brothers at the San Francisco Fog. An epic game and absolute credit to the Fog for one of the toughest games of rugby we've ever fought through.

2XV started strongly taking the win from Boston Ironsides before unfortunately losing out to a well drilled Bristol side. They'll be able to enjoy tonight and tomorrow as their run comes to a close.

3XV (Old Boys) had better luck, getting up on Gotham in the morning, followed by a strong win against the L.A. Rebellion. They'll play tomorrow in the finals 🎉 🎉 🎉 for the Bingham Bowl at 950AM.

4XV continued their win streak, this time against Space Otters in the morning. Only to be beaten by a tough Adelaide / Tokyo side in the afternoon. They too are now unfortunately out of this year's competition.

Another exceptional day of footy in the Sunshine State! 1XV got the win over the Rebellion and Falcons to top the group. 2XV unfortunately not getting up against their challenging pool in the Bingham grade but they'll get their chance to shine as they head into Hoagland tier tomorrow. 3XV / Old Boys tidying up in their grade against the Scandals and will now be playing for silverware at a Bingham level. Last but by far not least, our epic 4XV had a great start to the day against the mighty SF Fog, but couldn't quite tie up the day, just losing out to a very strong Seattle 2XV. Tomorrow's quarters schedule will be up shortly. Keep following 💙

HUUGE DAY ONE FOR US 💪💙💪 1XV pipping the hosts at the post for a win. 2XV just came up short in their first Bingham tier game. 3XV (old boys) getting up against both Boston and Muddy Barons and 4XV bringing it home at the end of the day against Chicago. All-in-all a great opening day and only a preview of what's to come. See you on day 2!
