🏆 2026 Pathways Moana Cup 🏆

Day. For. It!

Last Saturday saw the 2026 Pathways cohort put on the Convicts colours for the first time in an inter-club match.

Massive congrats to the players competing in their first even footy match. It can be nerve racking, but you've made proud, and you've made the club proud!

Huge thankyou to all the supporters that braved the weather to come and watch.

📸 Special shoutout to for capturing these amazing shots!! 📸

We tackle players. We run drills. We train hard. Apparently none of that prepares you for cracking an egg with your bicep.

Yolk's on us! 🥚💪

The Sydney Convicts are delighted to announce that we have received a major funding boost of $15,000 from the Office of Sport ahead of the Bingham Cup in August this year.

The Local Sport Grant Program aims to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport in NSW. The Grant Program is available across NSW with each electorate having access to the same total amount of funding. One of the key objectives of the program is to increase opportunities for unrepresented groups including LGBTQIA+ community.

As Australia’s first, and the world’s most successful gay and inclusive rugby team, the Sydney Convicts thank the NSW Minister for Sport Stephen Kamper MP, the Office of Sport, and the Member for Vaucluse Kellie Sloane MP for their support.

This year we have received $15,000 to support our preparations and participation in the Bingham Cup. This fund will allow the club to improve participation opportunities by reducing player costs, including through paying for playing and training kit, managers equipment, and a First Nations designed playing jersey.

2026 is already on track to be the Sydney Convict’s biggest year at any Bingham Cup with the club registering four squads for the tournament for the first time ever. This funding allows us to continue to use rugby as a vehicle for inclusion, connection and pride - locally and on the international stage.

The campaign moves into Round 5 as we take on Balmain. Both the 1s and 2s are ready for a physical afternoon of rugby after a massive shift over the last few weeks. We’re expecting a tough one, so come down, grab a spot on the sidelines, and cheer on the Convicts!
