💛 DAFFODIL DIP, THIS SUNDAY 23rd August💛

This Sunday, 23 August, the South Maroubra Dolphins are turning Wylies Baths yellow as we get behind the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Dip! 🌼🏊‍♀️

Our Dolphins community has already raised over $7,000, smashing our original $5,000 target 🙌💛

But we’re not finished yet…

Our Sunday swim will be dedicated to the Daffodil Dip, with plenty of yellow, additional fundraising and a whole lot of Dolphins spirit as we come together to support life-saving cancer research.

🌊 Sunday 26 July at Wylie’s Baths 🌊

The swell was up, but so were the Dolphins! 💙 Despite challenging conditions, we managed to get all our racing in for another fantastic Sunday morning.

🏆 It was our annual 50-Yard Grade Championships, with competitors battling it out across A through H Grades might be our biggest grade championship yet! Those who didn’t qualify still got amongst the action in the always popular John West Invitational.

We also completed the 100-yard races before wrapping up with our Team Ray event. Congratulations to The Luds, who claimed bragging rights once again, finishing just 0.75 seconds from their nominated time! 🎯👏

A huge thank you to everyone who raced, volunteered and cheered from the sidelines. Another memorable winter’s morning at Wylie’s Baths.

💛 Support the South Maroubra Dolphins as we Dive for a Cause! 💛

This August, the South Maroubra Dolphins Winter Swimming Club is proudly taking part in the Cancer Council's Daffodil Dip 2026 to help raise vital funds for Australians affected by cancer.

Cancer has touched the lives of so many in our community. By supporting our team, you're helping fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services for those who need them most.

On Sunday 23 August, we'll be holding our official Daffodil Dip Day, with our members taking the plunge and raising funds through a range of activities. The club will also be donating all swim race entry fees and fines collected on the day to the Cancer Council.

🌧️Rain? No worries. The Dolphins showed up Sunday anyway.

Despite the wet and wild conditions, we got through Heat 2 of our C**k of the Walk competition, along with our traditional 400, 200, 100 & 50-yard races, before finishing the morning with our team relay.

There’s something special about a crew that embraces the elements, backs each other, and makes every Sunday count rain, hail or shine.
