Happy birthday Mini Buckets, we are 3 years old today.

I would like to thank everyone that has been part of the program & all the support since we started. As we continue to grow, we still emphasise that 'Anyone Can Play' , you just need the right coach. We strive to be part of our community & growing a love for the game of Basketball. Thanks to my Coaches & family that have the same passion for growing the game.

Big thank you to everyone that supported myself & Logan Thunder Blue U14s team at the State Champs over the school holidays, unfortunately we didn't medal.

We had the best Defence during our pool games losing only 2 games both by a total of 5 points, losing by 1 point in a nail bitter to miss the Semi's.

We ended the tournament finishing 6th in our division & I couldn't be prouder of the way the girls represented there association & the sponsors that helped get them there.

Highlights for myself this season were the growth of the girls skill set, game time situational understanding & the gritty Defense they showed during tough games/situations. They left it all on the court & that is all any coach can ever ask for.

On the Mend

Thank you for all the well wishes, surgery was a success & now out of hospital. Unfortunately the recovery time has pushed everything back a week 😪

Kindergarten sessions to start back week 4 (due to lifting equipment)
Beginners sessions to start back this Wednesday (Coach Marcus will lead)
School sessions to start back week 3

All other sessions will be based on availability & my recovery.

Had a few different offices this week and enjoyed every moment, 2 camps & a OSHC park clinic to help grow the game, the athletes skills & had some fun along the way.

Thanks to everyone that participated and all that helped out, had some amazing coaches/athletes from Logan Basketball help out with our Thunder camp, showing us how the pro's do it, appreciate you all.

Mini Buckets will be running our own camp in September holidays, keep an eye out for details next term.

Next week is U14 Girls State Champs on the Sunny Coast, so this coach gets a bit of rest, followed by alot of competition.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of there break.

Would like to say a big thank you to all the Childcare Centres that supported my Logan Basketball U14s team this season during SQJBC. Unfortunately we lost our Semi final yesterday to a very strong Northside Wizards team. Our next stop is State Champs on the Sunny Coast in 3 weeks. Thank you all again, the girls appreciated your support throughout the season.

Would like to say a big Congratulations to Hope on making her District's team & pushing for selection in the MET West team, unfortunately she was unsuccessful this time but relished this 1st time experience in her basketball journey. She has made some great improvements over the past couple of months.

Was pretty cool your 1st experience was with one of your besties 😅
