Meet your Underground Barbell APL Nationals Team for 2026!

We have 3 new debutants to the lineup this year from their recent efforts on the platform:
- Dan A
- Josh H
- Cooper M

Both Darrell and Benny are no strangers to a scrap on the big stage, so it's going to be a sick time!

Starting us off will be the Captain himself taking on APL Nationals in Sydney at the ICC in Darling Harbour, in the u125 Tested Wraps division, setting the standard and leading by example

Then 2 weeks later we will have the Melbourne team showing the Nation how we truly are rivalled by none

We love the APL and we love Powerlifting, not bad for a little gym in Bowral 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

🔵 TEAM UNDERGROUND PLATFORM PERFORMANCES 🔵

This weekend saw our 2nd group of lifters take to the platform, and boy did they knock it out the park!

They all took away some huge PRs and held themselves to the underground standard

Not only that - but they all went 9/9 ✅

Always the loudest in the room, what an incredible bunch!

🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 TEAM UNDERGROUND PLATFORM PERFORMANCES 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

In the month of May we will be seeing 11 competitors from Underground across 3 of the 4 weekends stepping onto the platform!

Group 1 saw Darrell and Josh step onto the platform in Melbourne over 2 consecutive weekends - we been BUSY

Darrell recently dropped down into a new division ( -140 to -125) whilst putting up a new total PR

Joshy went up into a new division (-90 to -100), and that new mass was put to work

The boys stepped onto the platform and ended up putting their best performances to date up. They're staying hopeful for the call ups for Nationals later in the year 🤞🏽

This Saturday (May 23rd) we have our Group 2 of competitors as they step onto the platform at APL NSW States at Strength Tribe

The job isn't done for the team just yet!

An incredible day kicking it with the team down at Jamberoo Golf club for 9 holes of footgolf

Team Blue ended up taking the win and all the glory for the day!

Now it's time to lock in for the coming events towards the end of April and all of May
