The countdown is on! Saturday, 31st January we head to Lockyer Valley Speedway for the Queensland Title, and Harley will be back on track defending his title against the very best drivers in the state.

The competition is stacked, the stakes are high, and the engines are hot — we’re ready to race!
Plenty of late nights in the shed have led to this, and the team is pumped to put it all on the line once again.

🏁 Lockyer Valley Speedway Recap – 8.11.2025 🏁

What a night on the track!

Heat 1: We kicked things off starting from the back in 6th. The car was feeling strong and we managed to push our way to the front! Unfortunately, we ran into some overheating issues, but even with that, we held our ground and took the win!

Heat 2: After a quick break, we were back on track starting from pole with the field flipped. We pushed hard all race, staying in the top three and crossing the line 2nd behind Dion in the Q48.

Heat 3: Back off the rear again, holding the highest points for the night so far. The rain started to roll in as we made our move toward the front. Sadly, those earlier car issues came back, and we made the call to ease off before causing any damage to the motor — finishing 4th.

Despite a few challenges, we wrapped up the night with 1st overall! 🏆

Let’s Talk Microsprints!

Microsprints are scaled down versions of full-size sprint cars. Our Wing It Racing Microsprints run side-mounted 450cc dirt bike engines capable of producing upwards of 65 plus horsepower. While only running 2 seconds a lap behind our F500 which means we are able to gain experience and develop as drivers while staying close to our new F500 car.

The average price for a Microsprint is $7,000 which means it is a lower cost alternative to our F500 and other classes such as Lightning Sprints Speedcars or Midgets while still providing the fun of racing and being part of a race family such as the Queensland Microsprints club.

Had a great time with our race family at the Queensland Microsprints award night. Congratulations to Allan for placing third and to Benny for placing first in the club championship; it was a close call for all of us.
