Fremantle Roosters Rugby League Club Dedicated to the first and greatest club in the W.A.R.L. and those who have supported it in it's 70 year history.

The Fremantle Rugby Club was formed in 1928 and converted to the Fremantle Rugby League club in 1948. It has been playing in the WA 1st division (WARL) for some 70 years now and our club has always relied on attracting local juniors to be the foundation of the club and to carry on into the senior ranks. Tomorrow our men take the field at home against the Kalamunda Bulldogs.

Friday night saw our Ladies Tackle side go down to Willagee. Not the result we were after, but it’s on to the next job.

Saturday was a big day at Wellard Oval:
🔴 Women’s League Tag — 22-4 winners
⚪ Val Murphy Reserve Grade — hard-fought draw with the Titans
🔵 First Grade Premiership — convincing win over the Titans

A solid weekend for the Roosters with plenty to build on.

League Tag Women
Our League Tag ladies head to Wellard Oval to take on the Titans in Round Seven. Keep an eye on fullback Sophie McDermott, whose speed, effort and consistency have made her a standout performer this season.

Reserve Grade
Reserve Grade will be looking to continue building momentum as they face the Titans this weekend. Led by the likes of Trent Griffin, the side will be looking to bring plenty of energy and physicality to the contest.

First Grade Premiership Team
Our reigning premiers head into Round Seven ready for another tough challenge. Gethin Thomas has been one of our most consistent performers this season, leading from the front week after week, and will be looking to continue that form at Wellard Oval.

🏉 Tonight our Women’s Tackle side heads to Hartfield Park to take on the Willagee Bears.

Round 5 sees us continue to build, grow and strengthen the connections that make this group so special. Led by captains Kati Horner and Aynslee Henry, the girls are ready to take on the challenge against the Willagee Bears.

A huge congratulations to our junior representatives who have come through the Roosters pathway and earned their opportunity tonight. Special mention to Lily Robinson, who more than held her own in last round’s match, and Promise Longi, who has been named for tonight’s game. Don’t sleep on Promise—she’s got great hands and the pace to match.

Unlucky results across the board this weekend, with all teams going down.

Still plenty to take away from each performance as our groups continue building through the middle part of the season. Effort, resilience and sticking together never change.
