The “Stupa” Single-Arm Isolation, inspired by Franco Stupaczuk, is a targeted drill to fix lazy volleys and strengthen core stability.

To do it, practice a full set of forehand volleys while keeping your non-dominant arm tucked strictly behind your back.

This removes the usual off-arm counterweight that players use for balance, forcing your obliques and legs to stabilize the torso.

The result is a more compact, controlled volley with cleaner technique. Add this drill to your padel training to see noticeable improvements in power and precision.

Unlike tennis or squash, the wrist strap on a padel racket is a legal requirement under International Padel Federation (FIP) rules.

Padel rackets are solid, made of EVA foam and carbon fibre, and can weigh up to 375g. A racket flying from an unsecured hand during a smash could seriously injure another player.

In professional matches, failing to keep the strap around the wrist results in an immediate loss of the point.

Safety comes first, always keep your strap secured before every point.

Padel didn’t start in a stadium. It started with a space problem in 1969.

Enrique Corcuera wanted a tennis court at home in Mexico, but his yard was too small. So he built a smaller walled court, and a brand-new sport was born.

His wife, Viviana, wrote the first rulebook as a birthday gift. By 1974, padel had spread to Spain, and today it’s the fastest-growing sport in the world.

In Padel, players are permitted to step outside the court to return a ball that has bounced off the glass and exited through the gates.

This manoeuvre, known as a “saca por tres”, utilizes the court's walls as part of the game.

It demands agility, quick thinking, and strategic positioning, making every point dynamic and unpredictable.

🎾 Did you know? In Padel, the “Golden Point” is a sudden-death point played at deuce in No-Ad scoring.

When the score reaches 40-40, this single decisive point can decide the game, adding excitement and pressure to every rally.

Designed to speed up matches, it tests both nerves and skill, often leading to dramatic comebacks or fast-paced conclusions that fans love.

Fast reflexes and sharp hand-eye coordination are key to dominating the padel court. 🎾

Reaction Ball Training is a simple, effective way to improve both. Grab a reaction ball or small bouncy ball and practice catching or bouncing it against a wall, letting it rebound unpredictably.

This exercise trains your brain and body to react quickly, boosting agility, timing, and focus.

Add a few minutes of this drill to your warm-up or workout routine and watch your court performance improve dramatically!
