The road to the finish line is never travelled alone.

Yesterday, the AGW and Diamonds and Dorings Kimberley Big Hole Marathon support station proudly welcomed and encouraged athletes as they took on the challenge of the 2026 Comrades Marathon.

Thank you to all the volunteers, supporters, club members, and officials who gave their time, energy, and encouragement to keep our athletes moving forward.

To the runners who stopped by our support station – thank you for allowing us to be part of your Comrades journey. Your determination, resilience, and courage continue to inspire us all.

A heartfelt thank you to all the athletes, supporters, club officials, and family members who joined us for the AGW Comrades Shake Out Run at the iconic uMhlanga Lighthouse.

What started as an opportunity to loosen the legs before race day became a wonderful display of unity, camaraderie, and provincial pride. Seeing AGW athletes and supporters come together ahead of the Ultimate Human Race was truly special.

Thank you to everyone who attended, handed over supplies for the support tables, shared words of encouragement, and embraced the spirit of AGW.

As our athletes prepare to take on the Comrades Marathon, know that an entire province stands behind you.

Athletes, supporters, and club members gathered at the iconic uMhlanga Lighthouse in Durban on Saturday morning for the AGW Comrades Shake Out Run ahead of the 2026 Comrades Marathon.

The run provided an opportunity for athletes to loosen their legs, connect with fellow runners, share race-day excitement, and build the spirit of unity that makes AGW special.

A special thank you to all the athletes, supporters, and club representatives who joined us and proudly wore their AGW colours.
