𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗦𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 // We had an incredible week of learning, competing, and growing on the futsal court.

Over the past four days, our campers immersed themselves in the sport of futsal. They developed their ball mastery, first touch, passing combinations, movement off the ball, finishing techniques, and defensive principles through countless repetitions and small-sided games.

Our campers weren’t just told what to do, they experienced it, applied it, and learned through the game itself. Thank you to our families for trusting us with your players.

A special thank you goes out to our coaching staff for sharing their knowledge, passion, and love for the game, and to Martha and Laura for capturing so many memorable moments throughout the week.

We also brought back the Coaches Futsal Showcase for a second year, and once again it did not disappoint. Seeing campers cheer on their favorite coaches while watching the game at a high level was a highlight of the week for everyone involved.

Most importantly, we hope our players leave camp with a deeper understanding of futsal and a greater love for the game.

𝙐𝙎𝙔𝙁 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙈 𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙀𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 // Barrett McMurray & James Mendoza

We are incredibly proud to announce that Barrett and James were both selected to represent the US Youth Futsal International Team in Brazil following their performances at the National Training Camp in Glen Allen, VA.

To be identified among the nation’s top young futsal players and invited to wear the colors of the United States is a great achievement.

Unfortunately, due to the timing and scheduling of this year’s international tour, neither player will be able to attend. While we are certainly disappointed they won’t have the opportunity to compete in Brazil, we are equally grateful for the recognition they earned through their hard work, dedication, and commitment. This selection is a reflection of countless hours spent training, competing, learning, and growing.

Thank you to US Youth Futsal, the coaching staff, and everyone involved in creating opportunities for young players across the country.

Congratulations, Barrett and James. We are proud of you both.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗦𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 // 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝘃𝘀 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗚𝗘𝗡

For the second consecutive year, one of our favorite futsal camp traditions returned to the court.

It has quickly become a highly anticipated event, bringing together former and current players, coaches, and NCAA athletes for a competitive futsal game.

This year’s edition delivered plenty of goals, skill, and entertainment as the Next Gen squad edged out the Legends 7-6.

Beyond the scoreline, the showcase is about giving our campers an opportunity to see the game played at a high level while celebrating the players and coaches who continue to help grow the sport in our community.

𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗦𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 // Day 3: Today’s focus was all about finishing.

Before players can score goals consistently, they must first learn how to control the ball. We spent time teaching the importance of proper receiving techniques in futsal. A quality first touch creates scoring opportunities.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗦𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 // Our campers have spent the last two mornings building the foundation required to succeed in futsal.

We focused on:
Ball Mastery
Passing & Movement Combinations
Creating Angles of Support
2v2 Principles

As the session progressed, campers were challenged to apply their technical skills in game-like situations where decision-making mattered just as much as ex*****on.

Through our small-sided games, we introduced the concepts of pressure and cover, helping players understand how to defend effectively as a team.
