🏁 And just like that… another season is in the books at 34 Raceway. ❤️
60 years of racing history, and we’re grateful to have been a small part of keeping that tradition alive.
There’s something about running a racetrack that you just can’t explain unless you’ve lived it. The long days, late nights, unpredictable weather, tough decisions, endless planning, and the things that go wrong that nobody in the grandstands ever sees.
It’s not always easy. In fact, some days it’s downright exhausting. There are moments when you question yourself, moments when you wonder if you’re doing enough, and moments when the weight of it all feels a little heavier than you’d like to admit.
But then you look around at the people standing beside you.
And you remember why you do it.
We’ve learned that the people you surround yourself with make all the difference. The ones who show up without being asked. The ones who jump in when things get tough. The ones who make you laugh when you really need it. The ones who care about this place just as much as you do.
Those are our people. And we couldn’t do this without them.
To our incredible staff and volunteers, thank you for the countless hours, sacrifices, hard work, and heart you pour into this place. So much of what you do goes unnoticed by the public, but never by us.
To our drivers and race teams, thank you for choosing to race with us. We know the time, money, and dedication it takes to put a car on the track, and we don’t take that commitment lightly.
To our sponsors, thank you for believing in what we’re building and continuing to support dirt track racing in Southeast Iowa.
And to our fans, whether you’ve been coming to 34 Raceway for decades or this was your very first season, thank you for filling our grandstands and giving us a reason to keep opening those gates.
Running a racetrack isn’t something you do for the easy days. You do it because you love the sport, the people, the friendships, and the memories made along the way.
Was every night perfect? Absolutely not. Did we learn a few things? You bet. But we’re proud of what we accomplished, grateful for the people who helped us get here, and already looking forward to what’s next.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about the racing. It’s about the people who make the racing possible.
