Three of our Arnold Amusements crew traded the midway for 3.1 miles this morning! 🏃‍♂️🎡🏅

A BIG congratulations to these guys for completing the 2026 Michigan State Fair “Moovin’ Thru the Midway” 5K! The course actually winds through the fairgrounds-including the carnival midway, animals and vendor exhibits, so we’d say they had a little home-field advantage. 😉

Even better, the 5K benefits Military Families United, supporting our service members and their families.

We’re proud to see our crew getting involved and representing Arnold Amusements outside of their regular jobs on the midway. Way to go, guys!

Now the important question… who’s joining Team Arnold for the 5K next year?!

Since 1926, the Tilt-A-Whirl has been a familiar sight on fairgrounds and carnival midways across America. Invented by Herbert Sellner in Faribault, Minnesota, it has become a true piece of American midway history.

The Tilt-A-Whirl has also been part of Arnold Amusements since our very beginning in 1980. In 1992, we purchased our current Tilt-A-Whirl brand new, and it has been traveling with us ever since.

For 46 years, a Tilt-A-Whirl has been part of the Arnold Amusements midway carrying generations of families and continuing a tradition that has now lasted an entire century.

Congratulations to the Tilt-A-Whirl on 100 years of midway history. We’re proud to have been part of that story for nearly half of it.

Some midway traditions never get old.
