Nansemond Swim Club

Nansemond Swim Club Nansemond Swim Club is a seasonal, member-supported pool open each summer from Memorial Day weekend We are a community, membership pool in North Suffolk, VA.

As the main attraction, ours is an almost 'round' pool with 6, 25 meter competition lanes in the center, a 12' deep end including a diving board, a shallow end and a fenced-in baby pool. Surrounding the pool is ample deck space for sunbathing. Our members also enjoy the snack bar, a sand volleyball area, a horseshoe pit, co****le, and swings. The Nansemond Sharks swim team calls our pool "home," and we offer group and private swim lessons. Excellent management and lifeguard staff.

Weather update! NSC will open at 4:00 p.m today. Swim Team Practice will be held tonight, June 2, even though temperatures are expected to hover around a breezy 70 degrees.

As always, families should make the decision that feels best for their swimmer based on the weather and their comfort level. Coaches will be on deck and ready to run drills focusing on keeping kids moving in the water

Parents, please remember to pack: Extra towels!!! Something warm to wear immediately after practice.

Rain delay! We are keeping an eye on the weather once again. Based on the radar projections, we will be closed this morning (Monday 5/25).

We will reevaluate this afternoon and try to open for evening hours 4-8.

As is tradition at NSC, opening weekend is looking like a cold wash. After opening for a few hours today, the temp has dipped below our threshold for opening and NSC will be closed the remainder of the day.

With the upcoming forecast looking grim for swim, it is safe to say we will be closed tomorrow, Sunday 5/24 and likely Monday as well. We will update daily for the remainder of the week on opening status.

🧹 NSC Members, Pool Clean-Up Day is on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00–11:00 a.m. as we get NSC ready for another fun summer season. Join our Board of Directors volunteers to help with general clean-up and pool preparation for opening weekend.
💳 Friendly Reminder: Pool dues must be paid by May 9th to avoid late fees. You can pay in person at the pool during the work day from 9:00–11:00 a.m. Cash, check and credit card payments accepted.

A NSC Sharks Swim Team registration event will be held on Sunday, May 3rd from 2-4 p.m. Non-Swim team members are welcome to drop off their dues payments in person (cash or card) during that time. Don't forget to pay your dues before May 9th to avoid the late fee!
