🌷Catching up on May - We had a great week at the Sandhills Classic, at the Carolina Horse Park! Thank you to Joan, & the Triangle Farms team for hosting such a fun, great show!

Highlights include:

Evynn Morelli & her ‘Orchard Hills Dipped in Gold’ were on fire, finishing 🏆Champion in the Children’s Large Pony Hunters, & the Schooling Pony Hunter out of 20+ ponies!

Evynn Morelli & her ‘Smallwood Emma’ were 🏆Champion in the Medium Green Ponies & finished 6th in the USHJA Pony Derby w/ an 85 in the Handy round!

Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stellar’ finished 🏆Champion in the 3’ Greens & won 🥇the Green Incentive with an 86!

Paige Bartosh’s ‘Coolest Choice’ was Reserve Champion in the 3’ Greens w/ Sam winning 🥇 a class & placing top 3 in all the others! He also finished 8th w/ Paige in the USHJA National Derby out of 20+ horses, & they won the Child/Adult Classic w/ a 2nd round score of 87!

Grace Littreal & her ‘Epic’s La Mia’ were class winners 🥇in the 3’3” Older Juniors & tied for Reserve Champion! They also finished 5th in the Junior Classic!

Logan Smith’s ‘Paradise City’ & Sam finished 🥈in the USHJA National Derby! They also had multiple top 3 placings in the 3’3” Performance!

Madelyn Meacham’s ‘Content’ finished 5th in the USHJA National Derby & finished top 3 in every class of the 3’3” Performance!

Lauren Delalla’s ‘Simply Sensational EA’ teamed up w/ Byrdie Paisley for the first time, & finished 🥈in the Junior Classic w/ a first round score of 87! They also had top placings in the other classes! Sam & Otto also were class winners 🥇in the 3’3” Greens!

Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stargold Balou’ was Reserve Champion in the 3’3” Greens winning multiple classes 🥇& finished 🥉in the Green Incentive! He was also 4th in the USHJA National Derby with the highest ‘Go’ score of 9️⃣0️⃣!

Jenn Sabella & her ‘Umiliano Van Orshof’ were class winners 🥇& had other top placings in a huge Open Hunter division!

Brittany’s ‘Jack Flash’ finished Champion in the USHJA 2’6” Hunters winning🥇multiple classes w/ Sam! Brittany also had top 3 placings in the Low Adults out of 20+ horses 🥈🥉!

The James River Hunt Horse Show 🦊🌳is always a fun week for our group! It’s always nice being able to show at a “classic” Virginia horse show. Thank you to everyone who helped put on the show, and to all the sponsors as well!

Highlights from the week include:

🦊Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stargold Balou’ finished Champion in the 3’3” Greens with Sam, and also was Grand Green Hunter Champion! ‘Mowgli’ also finished Reserve Champion with Logan in the Large 3’3” Junior Hunters!

🦊Layla Hentnik & her ‘Duvel’ finished Champion in the Large Junior Hunters with multiple class wins!

🦊Sam & Madelyn Meacham’s ‘Content’ finished Reserve Champion in the 3’3” Performance with multiple class wins!

🦊Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stellar’ finished Reserve Champion in the 3’ Greens with Sam & was also Champion with Logan Smith in the 14 & Under Children’s!

🦊Grace Littreal & her ‘Epic’s La Mia’ finished Reserve Champion in the Small 3’3” Junior Hunters!

🦊Sam & Brittany’s ‘Jack Flash’ finished Champion in the Local Professional Hunters! Brittany & Jack also made their show debut finished 🥉 🥉 & 4th in a huge group of Low Adults!

🦊Logan Smith & her ‘Paradise City’ won 🥇 the Hamel Medal & also had other top placings in the THIS Medal and WEC Cup! Sam also was a class winner 🥇 in the Performance Hunters with Franklin as well!

🦊Jenn Sabella & her ‘Umiliano Van Orshof’ were class winners 🥇in a huge group of James River Hunters, and had other top placings!

🦊Lauren Delalla’s ‘Simply Sensational EA’ & Sam had multiple class wins in the 3’3” Greens 🥇🥇

🦊Paige Bartosh & her ‘Coolest Choice’ won top ribbons including a 🥈out of 30+ horses in the Non-Restricted Jr/Am and had a nice round in the derby finishing just outside of the top 12!

Thank you to Melvin, Denis, Jenn, and everyone else for making the week so successful! We couldn’t do it without everyone! 🌟

HITS Culpeper was our first show back home in Virginia 🌳 Sadly the week was cut short, but we are grateful to be home, and for our team and vets for stepping in, and monitoring our horses to ensure their safety and health. Our thoughts are with everyone else who was at the show, and for the barn who lost their horse.

Congratulations to everyone who was able to show this past week, and highlights from the week include:

🌶️ Madelyn Meacham’s ‘Content’ finished 🥈in the $2,500 USHJA Hunter Derby with Sam scoring an 89 & 87! He was also Champion in the 3’3” Performance winning 4/5 classes!

🌶️Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stellar’ finished Champion 🏆in the 3’ Greens with Sam, winning 4/5 classes and they won the $1000 Green Incentive class with an 86!

🌶️Paige Bartosh’s ‘Coolest Choice’ finished Champion 🏆in the 6 & 7 Year old Young Hunters with Sam, winning 4/5 classes!

🌶️Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stargold Balou’ finished Reserve Champion in the 3’3” Greens, and 🥈in the $1000 Green Incentive class with an 85! He also finished 5th in the $2,500 USHJA Derby with an amazing Handy round moving up several spots!

🌶️Evynn Morelli & her ‘Smallwood Emma’ finished 🏆Reserve Champion in the Schooling Pony Hunter out of a huge group of ponies finishing 🥇🥉🥉only doing 3 out of 4 classes!

🌶️Lauren Delalla’s ‘Simply Sensational EA’ & Sam put in great consistent rounds to finish 🥈🥈🥉🥉in the 3’3” Green Hunters!

🌶️Bayshore Capital’s ‘Korlando’ had nice trips with Sam in the USHJA 2’9” and Training Hunter with placings in each class!

🌶️Evynn Morelli and her ‘Orchard Hills Dipped in Gold’ finished 🥉and 6th out of 30+ horses in the USHJA 2’6” putting in amazing rounds!

Catching up on show results! We closed out our time at WEC with a successful Week 12! Everyone did great, and all the horses were super 🌟 Highlights from the week include:

▪️Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stellar’ finished 🏆Champion with Sam in the 3’ Greens only showing 1 day, winning 🥇🥇 two over fences! Logan & ‘Hank’ also finished Reserve Champion with multiple 🥇 over fences and in the hack!

▪️Grace Littreal & her ‘Epic’s La Mia’ finished 🏆Champion in the Small 16-17 3’3’” Junior Hunters! They also finished 4th in the Classic!

▪️Elizabeth Smith’s ‘Stargold Balou’ & Logan teamed up for the first time in the Juniors to finish 🏆Reserve Champion in the Large 15 & Under 3’3” Juniors! They also finished 7th in the Classic! Sam & ‘Mowgli’ finished 4th in the Green Classic & other placings in the 3’3” Greens!

▪️Paige Bartosh & her ‘Coolest Choice’ finished 🏆Reserve Champion in the 18-35 Adults with multiple top 3 placings including a 🥇!

▪️Layla Hentnik & her ‘Duvel’ had great rounds and placings in the 16-17 Large 3’3” Junior Hunters including a 🥈over fences and a🥉in the Classic!

▪️Brittany Davis & her ‘TW Mccormick’ were class winners with an 8️⃣9️⃣ in the 18-35 Low Adults and had other top placings! They also finished 5th in the Classic!

▪️Bayshore Capital’s ‘Korlando’ had nice rounds with Sam scoring in the 80’s in the 2’9” USHJA Hunters!

Grateful for such a successful end to our winter at WEC!
