Why would an NFL player train his eyes like this?
Because movement isn’t built from muscles alone.
Your brain is constantly using information from your visual system, balance system, joints, and the rest of your body to decide how to organize movement.
The NFL clip is using a different visual drill than the one I’m demonstrating here, but the larger idea is similar: change the information coming in and see what happens to the movement coming out.
That’s why I test these things rather than assuming everyone needs the same drill.
If an input changes strength, coordination, balance, or movement quality, that’s useful information.
Then we decide what to do with it.
Apparently the football people found one of the buttons.
