The Dance Factory We encourage individuality, creativity, and artistic expression. Emphasis is on quality technical training while encouraging a love and passion for movement.

For over 40 years, the Dance Factory in Springfield, VT has provided quality dance and movement training from experienced teachers in an inclusive, non-competitive, nurturing environment. The Dance Factory is a vibrant, inclusive dance studio conveniently located in downtown Springfield next to the town library. Founded in 1984 by Susan Hagan and now owned by Kate Frizzell-DeRosia, the studio boas

ts five experienced teachers and offers classes in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, acro-dance, yoga, and creative movement for preschoolers through adults. Performances include an annual spring recital in May for all students as well as December performances of The Nutcracker, a fundraiser for arts programs in public schools that has contributed over twenty thousand dollars to such programs. Teachers Kate Frizzell-DeRosia, Gretchen Abendschein, Ashley Hensel-Browning, Dana Blake, and Jessie DeRosia thoroughly enjoy dancing with you and your little ones during the school year and summer sessions.

What's more fun than summer dance! Our July mini-sessions are coming right up, with space left in most sessions and in our CRAZY FUN Dance Camp with Keigan and Ange!

* Preschool dance for independent 3/4 year olds
* Ballet, Creative Movement, Modern, and Hip Hop (grade K-6)
* Jazz (grade 7 through adult)
* Pointe workshop (by permission)

AND ongoing classes (grade 7-adult) run through July!
* Open Ballet-- Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:15pm
* Barre & Stretch-- Tuesdays 6-6:45pm
* Slow Flow Yoga-- Wednesday 10-11am

UPDATE - Only ONE spot left! Could it be yours?!

We have only THREE spots in our summer performance opportunity of the beloved story ballet Peter and the Wolf with the Springfield Community Band! This performance workshop for grades 8 and up will rehearsal on July 11 &12 and perform Tuesday evening, July 14 in an outdoor setting with LIVE MUSIC as part of the Children's Concert.
