⚾ Babe Ruth Baseball registration is now open!

Registration closes on June 8 per league requirements. We'll need enough players registered by that date in order to field a team this summer.

Smart Start- Fridays 5:30-6:30
K/1- Thur 5:30 Sat 1:00
2/3- Wed 5:30 & 6:30 Sat 12:00
4/5- Mon 5:30 & 6:30 Sat 11:00
6-8- Tue 5:30 & 6:30 Sat 9:00&10:00

We have allowed for expansion if the registration calls for more time slots. Adjustments may be made to fit accordingly.
Practices will be determined by the coaches.

All P&R practices are canceled today due to forecasted storms.

Spring can’t make up its mind—snow last week and 80s with thunderstorms this week. Hopefully tomorrow we’re back with bats cracking and gloves popping.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Commons next Saturday 🐣

We didn’t hold back this year…
• 2,500 eggs stuffed with candy
• 1,600 eggs packed with toys
• 500 extra pieces of candy (just in case)

Here’s how it’ll run:
• Ages 0–3 kick things off at 11:00
• Ages 4+ start at 11:30

The Easter Bunny will be around too 🐰

Bring a basket, bring the kids, and be ready — it goes fast.

Join us for the Springfield Easter Egg Hunt at the Commons on April 4, 2026!

The first hunt kicks off at 11 AM for children ages newborn to three years old, followed by a second hunt at 11:30 AM for kids aged four and up.

The Easter Bunny will be there, ready to pose for photos with the community, making this a delightful event for families.

Sponsored by the Town of Springfield Parks and Recreation Department, with a partnership from Springfield on the Move, this festive day promises fun and excitement for everyone.
