We want to tell you about the most common transformation we see at NW Precision Training. Student arrives unsure — maybe nervous, maybe skeptical. Somewhere in Pistol Craft 101, something shifts. Knowledge builds confidence. Community makes them feel seen. By the end, they're already asking about Pistol Craft 201. By 202, they're all in. That transformation is the whole point. It's not about the fi***rm. It's about who you become while learning to use it responsibly. 💪

Why do we train? Not because we're afraid. Not because we expect the worst. We train because preparation is an act of responsibility. Because knowing what to do — and knowing you can do it — makes a real difference. Our students train for safety, for confidence, for the people they love, and for the community they're part of. That's a purpose worth showing up for. What's yours?

Being a Black Hat Pro Staff at NW Precision Training means more than a patch. Our Black Hats serve as Range Safety Officers and Range Masters. They give live demonstrations in class. They mentor newer students. They receive specialized training no one else gets access to. They set the culture. They protect the standard. They ARE the community others aspire to join. Come on out!

We're building something in the Willamette Valley. Not just a training program — a standard. The standard of what a safe, humble, professional fi***rms community looks like in Oregon. Our Black Hats are proof of what that standard produces. But it all starts in Pistol Craft 101, with the first student who shows up nervous and open, willing to learn. Everything we build — from the welcome in Pistol Craft 101 to the vote at the Black Hat level — is in service of that standard.

A gun in the hands of someone untrained is a liability. A gun in the hands of someone trained is a tool. The gap between those two descriptions comes down to one thing: instruction. We've seen it hundreds of times — students who walk in uncertain and walk out capable. The training isn't just marksmanship. It's judgment, safety habits, and the confidence to handle your fi***rm responsibly in any situation. Don't just own a gun. Know it. 🎯

✦ Course Deep Dive — Pistol Craft 203: The Discipline of Light
Here's something most people don't think about until they have to: when you introduce light in a low-light environment, you reveal yourself as much as you reveal your target. Pistol Craft 203 — Low Light Engagements teaches the discipline of light management: when to illuminate, when to go dark, and why each decision carries weight.

This is the thinking person's tactical course — not just a marksmanship test, but a judgment test. You'll work with handheld and weapon-mounted light techniques, learn to move and communicate in a diminished environment, and understand how illumination and concealment interact under real pressure.

Prerequisite: Pistol Craft 202. Cost: $200. 4 hours, live-fire.

🕯️ If you've completed Pistol Craft 202, this is your next evolution.

Duration : 4 Hours Format : Live-Fire / Range Course Prerequisite : Successful completion of Pistol Craft 202: Practical Handgun Most critical incidents happen in low or no-light conditions. This course is not about shooting in the dark — it is about thinking, identifying, and perfor

🔔 ANNOUNCEMENT — Pistol Craft 203: Low Light Engagements
Most critical incidents happen in low or no-light conditions. Pistol Craft 203 is not about shooting in the dark — it's about thinking, identifying, and performing when visibility is limited and consequences are high. We want to take the uncertainty out of it and train for this real world potential.

Building on Pistol Craft 202, students work with handheld and weapon-mounted light techniques, balance illumination and concealment, and apply skills under the specific uncertainty of a diminished environment. Performance is measured through discipline, decision-making, and accountability — not just marksmanship.
