Your body feint is wrong ❌

Your body feint might look quick… but would a defender actually believe it?

That's the mistake I was making.

A good body feint isn't simply snapping your body one direction and taking the ball the other way.

You have to actually sell the first movement.

Shift your weight.

Get into that athletic position.

Make it look like you're committing one way, then push away and accelerate in the opposite direction.

During individual football training, exaggerate the movement at first.

You're teaching your body what a convincing fake should feel like before adding more speed.

You don't need complicated soccer drills either.

A ball, a cone, and some space are enough.

Rate your body feint from 1-10 below!

Save this for your next session, send it to a teammate who needs it, and follow FC Game Changer for more player development.

You're Building Confidence Wrong ❌

Most footballers are waiting for confidence... and that's exactly why they're stuck.

So many players think they'll play with confidence once they feel ready.

But football doesn't work like that.

Confidence is built through action, not before it.

Every sprint you finish, every extra football training session, every difficult pass you choose to play, and every challenge you don't avoid becomes proof that you can handle more.

That's how academy players and top professionals grow.

They don't wait until they're fearless.

They build trust in themselves one repetition at a time.

What's one action you can take today to build that proof?

Comment below, save this for before your next session, share it with a teammate who's doubting themselves, and follow FC Game Changer for more football mindset and player development content.

Why pros make football look easy ⚽️

The drills that look simple are the ones that build players.

Every footballer wants to learn the next skill, the next move, or the next trick.

But before all of that, elite players build comfort with the ball through repetition and fundamentals.

These three soccer drills focus on the movements every player needs:

Control, coordination, and confidence.

The goal isn’t to rush through them.

The goal is to make these actions feel natural until you don’t have to think about them during a game.

That’s how player development happens.

Simple habits become automatic decisions under pressure.

Whether you’re an academy player, amateur footballer, or chasing the next level, these football training exercises belong in your routine.

Save this for your next session, share it with a teammate, and comment which drill you’re working on.

Imagine meeting the player you just replaced 🫣

Imagine arriving at your new club and unknowingly meeting the player you're replacing.

That’s exactly what happened to Sammy Smith during her professional football journey.

She arrived at her apartment as another player was literally moving out, and couldn't understand why the interaction felt so uncomfortable.

Then her teammates filled in the missing details.

She hadn't just taken the player's place in the squad.

She had her apartment.

Her number.

Her locker.

Everything.

It’s funny looking back, but it also shows a side of professional soccer that aspiring players and academy players rarely see.

Opportunities, transfers, loans, and roster decisions can become very personal very quickly.

So put yourself in BOTH players' shoes.

How would you handle this?

You're training speed the wrong way! 😩

If you always feel one step behind, this is for you.

A lot of footballers spend hours with the ball but never dedicate time to becoming faster.

The truth is, speed isn't just about running hard, it's about training your body to produce force quickly and consistently.

These three bodyweight exercises are simple enough to do on any field, but if you really want results, don't skip the trick at the end.

That's what helps you transfer the work into real match speed.

Whether you're an academy player, weekend footballer, or chasing the next level, this belongs in your football training routine.

Improving your football mindset also means committing to the work that isn't always exciting.

Comment which exercise you'll try first, save this for your next session, share it with a teammate, and follow FC Game Changer for more player development content.

He almost lost this 200lb squat... 🤯

200 pounds means nothing if you can't control 88.

Footballers love seeing the number on the bar go up, but adding weight isn't the same thing as getting stronger.

We started these players at 40 kg (88 lb), progressed to 80 kg (176 lb), and finished at 90 kg (198 lb).

The challenge wasn't simply getting the bar back up.

It was maintaining strong squat mechanics as the load increased.

Upper back engaged.

Feet planted.

Brace before descending.

Control the weight.

Then drive.

Strength training can be an important part of soccer player development, but don't let chasing gym numbers become the goal.

Earn the load.

Don't just survive it.

How much are you currently squatting?

I wish I trained these earlier 😱

I wish I had trained this way when I was younger.

I always wanted to be the fastest player on my team, but speed training isn't just running sprint after sprint.

These three plyometric exercises challenge different qualities footballers need:

Producing force, reacting quickly, accelerating, controlling landings, and working explosively off both legs.

Start with triple broad jumps, move into quick reactive jumps followed by a sprint, then finish with single-leg hops into acceleration.

The biggest thing? Don't just go through the movements.

Plyometric football training needs intent.

Jump explosively, accelerate aggressively, and control your landings.

Try these during your next speed training session.

Which exercise are you trying first:

1, 2 or 3?
