It is a collection of values and practices that we are a part of a larger and more significant communal, environmental, and spiritual world. The second annual Ubuntu Fly Anglers Spokane BIPOC Youth Camp at MLK Family Outreach Center is in the books.

Huge thanks to Spokane Riverkeeper for coming out again and teaching the youth about the importance of cold water, the Spokane River, and macroinvertebrates. They explored the differences between Hangman Creek as a tributary and the main flow of the Spokane River.

Through hands-on exploration, they collected crawfish, worms, leeches, and macroinvertebrates like mayflies and stoneflies, learning how these species play an important role in a healthy river ecosystem and support the fish and wildlife that depend on it.
