OCTOBER CHALLENGE: HOW MANY PUSH-UPS CAN YOU DO?
Think push-ups are just an upper-body exercise? Think again!
Push-ups test your upper-body strength, core stability, muscular endurance, and overall body control. They're also a great way to see how your strength stacks up!
THE CHALLENGE: AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible)
Here's how it works:
- Chest must touch the block on every rep.
- Full arm lockout at the top.
- No pausing or resting between reps.
- Push-ups must be performed on your toes.
- Record a video of your attempt.
- Write your total reps on the challenge board!
HOW DO YOU STACK UP?
Here are some general fitness benchmarks for continuous, full push-ups:
Age| Women| Men
20–29| 15–20| 25–30
30–39| 12–17| 20–25
40–49| 10–15| 15–20
50–59| 7–12| 12–17
60+| 5–10| 8–12
These are approximate recreational fitness targets, not official age-based standards. Our chest-to-block rules may produce different results.
