Scranton Karate School

Scranton Karate School Many of todays American martial art instructors, and those of Korean ancestry, owe their start in Tang Soo Do here in North America to Grandmaster Trojanowicz.

The Scranton Karate School was established in 1961 by Grandmaster Frank Trojanowicz who is widely known as a pioneer and promoter of Korean Karate in the Northeast. Long before Kung Fu, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris became famous, Master Trojanowicz was training and teaching Tang Soo Do. He has introduced and sponsored many of todays Korean Martial Art teachers, and been in part responsible for the establishment and chartering of other successful martial art organizations.

Yesterday was the hottest day of the summer (95 degrees) and our students still show up! Way to show your self-discipline and strength! No complaints were heard either and that shows their resilience. We give extra water breaks and modify our classes in the extreme heat and pay close attention to every student for signs of heat related symptoms. We did our ninja water drill at the end of our classes 👊🏻

65 years and counting with no air conditioning. It builds endurance.
