Over the holiday , we at Kleha’s Martial Arts lost a dear friend . Sam Starr , a man whom not only loved to talk about a good fight and had his own fight with cancer for many years passed . Sam was a very giving person as most who knew him personally already know , he donated the space to us for 3 years when we were on Cedar Ave in Scranton’s South Side . I know it made him happy to know martial arts was taking place at his location. I fondly recall seeing him stop by after work just to watch a few minutes of the class when he had time . We will always remember his generosity and his willingness to help others which is what martial arts is founded on . Rest easy friend we will always remember your generosity and kindness ……
