🕊️ In Memory of Lenin Homer Silva 🕊️
This is a special project that means a lot to our goalkeeper community.
As many of you have heard, we recently lost a young goalkeeper named Lenin Homer Silva in a tragic car accident. Lenin was only 17 years old and was an incredible goalkeeper, teammate, and young man.
Coach Ale had the privilege of training Lenin since he was 12 years old and watching him grow into the goalkeeper and person he became. More recently, he was helping Lenin through the college recruiting process as he prepared to join the Skyline College program and continue pursuing his dream of playing Division I soccer.
Lenin was a big part of the Bay Area goalkeeper community, and his loss has been heartbreaking for everyone who knew him.
To honor his memory, Coach Ale has partnered with West Coast Goalkeeping to create a limited-edition Kona Pure Memorial Glove featuring Lenin’s initials (LHS) and a dove symbol on the wrist strap.
West Coast Goalkeeping generously donated the customization and provided a discount to help make this project possible.
🧤 Cost: $66 per pair (regularly $84.95)
❤️ $6 from every glove sold will be donated toward Lenin’s memorial.
