June feels expansive ☀️
This time of year we’re fully out of our cocoons.
It feels a bit busier + fuller.

Cookouts, graduations, last days of school, beach days, gardening, outdoor play.

Even in all the joy + excitement of warmer days and fun plans, we can find ourselves feeling a little ungrounded.

Your practice is your anchor.
Carve out time in your week, unroll your mat at Haven and return to your peace. We’re here for you 🤲🏽✨🩷

On the first day of each month,
I open the door to new possibilities.

This simple cinnamon blessing is a ritual of intention.
An invitation for fresh energy, abundance, creativity, and aligned opportunities to enter the space.

As I stand at the threshold of Haven, I take a moment to speak my intentions aloud and connect with what I am calling in for the month ahead. I sprinkle cinnamon in my hand and blow it through the doorway.

The energy of cinnamon is warm, expansive, and inviting. It is often used as a symbol of abundance, protection, and fresh beginnings. A simple way to mark the threshold between what has been and what is ready to unfold.

Whether at my home or at Haven, this practice reminds me that energy follows intention. Before the busyness of a new month begins, I pause, give thanks for what is already here and create space for what is ready to arrive.

May this month bring growth, prosperity, clarity and blessings to all who enter 🤎✨🙏🏽

I’ll be honest, some days I don’t feel like teaching.
I feel resistance in my body and I drag my feet getting here.

Do you feel that sometimes too? Like when you sign up for class a day or two before and then the time comes to get ready to go and you just feel like “I kinda don’t wanna go to class”.

You just regret your commitment and don’t have the “energy” for it… but that’s the ironic part.

Coming to Haven, whether to teach or take a class, doesn’t take energy AWAY… it replenishes and restores.

After I teach the class that I wasn’t really in the “mood” for,
I ALWAYS, always, without fail - feel whole, full, and GOOD.
My entire mood shifts, my energy recalibrates and I walk out the doors with a full heart and a giant smile. Who was that girl that walked in an hour ago??

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of “energy takers” in life … but coming here is the counter to those. This is the exact place to come to when you don’t feel like it, or you don’t have energy, or you’re just not in the mood.

Because it’s medicine✨
Because you’ll never regret it. Ever.

Tonight’s class held me in all the ways I needed, and restored my peace. Grateful to teach and guide this community as well as myself through this journey!
