It’s always exciting when two rival schools take the field against each other! Even better when the same sports medicine team has the privilege of providing care for both programs. 🏈
We’re approaching four years of providing full-time athletic training and sports medicine services, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished during that time.
What has changed?
✔️ Fewer unnecessary referrals.
Our Athletic Trainers have extensive rehabilitation experience, and because we don’t make money from physician or therapy referrals, our recommendations are based solely on what is best for the athlete.
✔️ Fewer injuries compared to previous years.
We don’t simply evaluate injuries after they happen. We take a proactive approach through strength and conditioning, injury-prevention programs, hydration and nutrition education, recovery strategies, and ongoing athlete education. Our goal is simple: keep athletes healthy, strong, and on the field.
✔️ More athletes finishing seasons healthy and competing at their best.
High school sports are demanding. Our goal is to help athletes manage the physical demands of long seasons so they can continue competing safely and effectively.
✔️ Stronger relationships with administrators, coaches, athletes, and parents.
Communication is a major part of what we do. We establish clear guidelines for athlete care, communicate consistently with coaches and families, and make ourselves available when questions or concerns arise.
✔️ A vast network of physicians and physical therapists.
When an athlete does need additional care, we help connect them with the appropriate medical professional as quickly as possible. Our established relationships with physicians and physical therapists help eliminate unnecessary appointments and create a more seamless transition from injury, to rehabilitation, to a safe return to sport.
At the end of the day, we believe athletic training is about much more than treating injuries. It’s about prevention, performance, education, communication, rehabilitation, and building relationships with the entire athletic community.
We truly love what we do, and we’re grateful for every school, coach, athlete, parent, administrator, physician, and therapist who trusts us to be part of their team.
Rivalries belong on the field. Quality sports medicine belongs with everyone. 💪🏽🏈
