Paddle Boarding instruction and evaluation.
* SAFETY Ensuring you have the stamina and knowledge to self-rescue and rescue clients in a variety of challenging situations.
* FORWARD STROKE As a paddle board instructor, you will be launching numbers of paddlers on their journey - You must master the proper form and technique for the forward stroke to effectively teach. Likewise for the sweep and other turning and stabilization maneuvers.
* PREPARATION Wind, tides, weather, underwater obstacles, proper equipment, equipment transport.
* GENERAL KNOWLEDGE of equipment; Aspects and history of the sport.
* FITNESS Warm Ups / Cross Training / Fueling / Stretches / Balance exercises
* SMALL BUSINESS STARTUP Insurance, Registration, Logos, Advertising, Mobile setup, Partnerships with municipalities.
* Sample SUP lesson demonstration with provided Lesson Plan
We will be paddling distances, running drills on the water, and practicing rescue techniques in the Jamaica Bay at Rockaway Queens NY
