So much cool in this video!

First of all it’s Yadi! Then add in the baby blue uni’s and the absolutely gem of a throw… it’s a beautiful thing!

I’m about to start camp in Simi Valley. I head to Oakdale, CA next weekend where we have 2 spots left. Head to my stories to grab a spot!

When you combine strength, mobility and good mechanics you get some amazing throws!

Watch the slo-mo of these Joseph throws closely. The exchange, the arm path, the arm shape, the scap load, the controlled mitt, the blocking of the front side… the list goes on and on!

It’s a beautiful thing! 🔥💪

I can help you with all of this this. Put “drop your Pop” in the comments and I’ll get you what you need!

Here is 60 seconds of some of the best throwers, with respect to throw out percentage, in MLB.

With the exception to Stubbs, what is a common denominator to all of these elite throwers? 🤔

The concept is to put yourself in the best position to get a strike call for your pitcher while still being able to perform any other skill you might need to perform.

This is not to say that knee down set ups are for everyone. Young catchers still developing are a lot of times better off on their feet until they get proper coaching and develop the strength and athleticism needed.

This is discussed in detail at every one of my camps. Out “camps” in the comments and I’ll show you where I’ll be in the next couple months.

First of all, if you’ve never had this happen, it usually doesn’t feel very good!

And second, great focus by to still make the catch after his fingertips just got blasted!

He gone! 💪

My first two summer camps are coming up soon! Simi Valley, CA in a little over two weeks and Oakdale, CA in a little over three.

We’re only taking a few more in each camp and then registration will be closed.

WHAT IS COVERED?

We will cover, in detail, the fundamentals of the “big 3” skills of a catcher which include receiving, blocking & throwing.

We also cover leadership qualities, mental game topics like controlling emotions, as well as catcher-specific strength training including hip mobility, flexibility & strength, core strength, balance & stability, hand, wrist & forearm strength, vision training and more!

Put the city name in the comments and I’ll get you what you need to grab a final spot!

One thing we discuss at every camp is the fact that you need to be efficient with your transition (into whatever set up you’re going to use) so you’re “settled in” and ready to receive, block, throw or whatever.

It’s also a pretty good idea to know when your pitcher is gonna quick pitch! 😳😬🤣

My summer events are full or almost full. If you’ve been thinking about signing up but haven’t yet, you better get it done soon.

One of the arguments we hear all the time about knee down set ups is it makes the catcher slower to get up.

That may be true for some younger catchers who are still developing their strength and explosiveness but for those older more experienced and elite catchers the concept is this… Put yourself in the best position to get a strike call while still being able to perform any other responsibilities that arise, like catching low pop ups.

Safe to say is elite! What. A. Catch! 💪

with the smooth, quick and what I call “clean” back pick. Watch the slo-mo carefully… THIS is how you throw!

A few keys:

1. The footwork. The right foot comes close to replacing the left foot.
2. The mitt arm working together with the throwing arm getting the front side closed.
3. The short and efficient arm action straight to throwing position keeping the ball above and inside the elbow.

I discuss my love of back picks at every camp. Put “camp” in the comments to see where I’ll be over the summer.
