It is with a heavy heart that the TLC for Bikes family is announcing that after a long battle with cancer, Gary Smith, the founder and owner of TLC for Bikes, peacefully passed away on the 25th of October 2025.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all those that supported and visited with Gary since his original diagnosis. In his final month, he continuously told us how happy he was that so many people were thinking of him and supporting him throughout his journey.

Gary deeply loved what he did, but more than that, he loved all of the customers and friends that he was able to provide services to. To everyone that frequented TLC for Bikes, the TLC for Bikes family would like to say thank you for helping Gary achieve his dreams and live his best life.

We will be holding a memorial service for Gary this upcoming Saturday (1st of November). The service will take place at the TLC for Bikes shop in Lafyette Village and will begin at 5PM (8480 Honeycutt Rd. Raleigh, NC 27615). If possible, please bring flowers and a small candle to the service. If you have any questions regarding the service please call (919)-741-0282.
