2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 9 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 6.19.26 Juneteenth.

The cool misty morning weather was beaten back by the relentless sun, and by 6pm it was again high 90s sunny and a little bit humid, there were however some very nice breezes that brought a bit of cool relief. All in all, it was an excellent afternoon for disc golf.

The attendance for the 2nd day of summer was an excellent 95!

"Big thanks as always to the Kentwood Disc Golf Club crew who were a little light this past week as commander Dr. “Cinco” David Benson Sr. III was out on shore leave, Captain Kirsch and Lieutenant 1st class Morie S. Newman V held down the fort and started precisely at 6pm but started at 6:09 due to a freak rounding error.

For the 4th and unprecedented week in a row, a perfect score of -18 won the day, our defending champion Adam Keel and partner Zach Morgan shot the perfect 18 . WTG gentlemen! More mugs are on the way as the relentless onslaught of stellar shooting continues.

**The ledgend who manifests as Justin Sychla also gave us a guest appearance and was finally presented with his -20 mug from the yee old round of ledgend -20 with partner Brenna Jenks, perfect with aces on 1 and 11. Good to see you Justin, wb from witness protection.

The Ace pool of $ 97 was NOT HIT, SO 97 WILL carry forward to next week.

The Bag o’ Bucks (BOBs) was it on #18 for 48 by Scott M and his puppers, and this week on hole #4 by Jofo for another $48. Next week the bob will return back to its home on hole 9. (KWDGC’s weekly ctp is a DOC a ( disc of choice) which moves to the current week of the season, i.e. it was week 9 so the ctp was on 9, next week it will be on hole 10)

Teemu Lampainen's unofficial 1098-rated course record of 12-under par at the European Open during round 2 is currently the highest-rated round on the DGPT and 3rd highest-rated round of the 2026 season!

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 8 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 6.12.26

The weather was rather toasty, very sunny and nearing 100, but the low humidity and frequent puffy clouds were our saving grace. Despite the heat it was an eggcellent night for discgolf.

The attendance was a bit low, attributed to the aforementioned heat at 77.

Those that did brave the heat, we thank you for attending, hope you had a great time, and we look forward to seeing you this coming Holiday Friday 6.19.26 JUNETEENTH!!

The weather was 100% perfect.

The attendance was 100% awesome w/ 101 kentwood hooligans partooking in the experience of kentwood summer doubles. (that is correct usage of partooking guaranteed 🙂

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 6 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.29.26

The weather was again eggcellent a little taste of upcoming summer with temps in the mid 80ss, with alot of sun, but thankfully still relatively low humidity.

Another great night of attendance at 97 kentood hooligans.

Winning this week was the first perfect round of the season -18 2x champ Kris Henseler and partner Logan Koning, i will have their -18 mugs ready for them next week. There was some hot shooting , as there were 2 -17s lurking just one shot back. There was no throw offs for last cash at -13.

The Ace pool of $ 94 carried over from last week and added to the $97 for a total of $191,. It was hit 2x, 1st by John T Nelson on his first throw of the night on hold #4 for $95 and then again on hole #18 by Brandt Wolf, for the Ace money $95 and the bob $50.

The Bag o’ Bucks (BOBs) for $50 on #18 was hit by Brandt Wolf as mentioned above with the Ace, and hold #9 Chad Hutcheson in town for a few weeks on a construction job, welcome to NC.

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 5 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.22.26

The weather was a little cooler and cloudier than last week as the prospect of rain loomed , but the storms passed leaving Kentwood high and dry. The wind picked up without about 6 holes to play and started gusting luckily only after the round finished.

Another great night of attendance at 94 as the Kentwood Hooligans were not afraid of some ominous weather predictions.

Thanks again to everyone for coming out, we hope you enjoyed the event, and we can’t wait to see you next Friday, May 27th, for Week 6!
