I'm flying solo for the first time since I had major anxiety grab me three years ago at another conference, and the subsequent flight home. I told myself I didn't ever have to get on another plane if I didn't want to ...
but that's not me.
I like to travel, I like to learn, I like to explore ... so ... in true Darcy fashion, I headed to the library. Found a book called Unwinding Anxiety by Dr Judson Brewer. I checked it out three times, bought the audiobook, bought a hard copy, then a digital copy ... lol. Used the UA app everyday. I went on a retreat with Dr Brewer at Omega Institute and now I'm flying solo, ready to explore, learn ...
and mindfulness and meditation got me here.
This Saturday, I will achieve 1000 days of meditation on Insight Timer. 1000 days to learn how to stay in the present moment - non judgementally, how to go inside my body, and get curious about the bodily sensations and not let my monkey mind take over. Recognize rumination, and kick right into my practice anywhere, anytime.

It is a life long practice and I'll keep practicing everyday , every moment, and continue to grow my mindfulness muscles.
