Stationary ranges offer targets at a variety of distances, a pass is required to use archery ranges.

The peaceful wilderness at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve in northeast Scott County features glacial ridges, hilly terrain and an extensive, lush forest. This park features one of the most challenging cross-country ski areas in the Twin Cities, and a popular mountain bike trail.

With the exception of the trails, the park reserve remains undeveloped, making it one of the best parks in Three Rivers for birdwatchers to spot woodland songbirds. This park has also been designated an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society.

We’ve officially entered fall, and with that the 2026 summer camping season has ended! We’d like to take a moment to reflect on a successful summer camping season with our Community Engagement team! We offer introductory camping programs aimed at breaking down barriers and opening up the outdoors to everyone.

Camping 101 🏕️ guided weekend camping experiences with Community Engagement staff. In 2026 we had 27 groups join us for 172 total participants!

Camping Kits 🏕️ reservable kits with basic gear to accommodate up to 6 people. This year we had 7 groups utilize camping kits for 42 total campers!

Camping Trailer 🏕️ group leaders undergo training so they can facilitate their own successful overnight camping experience using our camping trailer. The trailer was used by 13 different groups for 385 people!

"This was our very first camping experience and it became an unforgettable weekend for all of us. Spending time outdoors, away from screens and daily routines, gave our family a chance to reconnect and create wonderful memories.”
