If you have an MSW and 5, 10 or 15 years of experience working inside healthcare organizations, nonprofits, schools or government systems, you are not an entry-level consultant.

You’re a subject matter expert with a track record.

The problem is not your qualifications. It’s that nobody taught you how to price your expertise as a business asset instead of an hourly rate.

A $5000 consulting engagement is not a stretch for someone with your background. It’s a starting point. And it’s based on the value of what you deliver.

When you can help an organization solve a problem that cost them significantly more than that to go unsolved, $5000 is conservative.

Start there and build from there.

One of the things we don’t learn enough about in school is the dollar value of the work we do.

Not just the impact but the revenue protection, risk reduction and liability management that organizations depend on.

Once we understand the FULL picture of the value we provide, we can build something outside of traditional employment that reflects what our work is actually worth.
