Today, our Northern Patriots Softball seniors trade their cleats for caps and gowns as they walk across the graduation stage.

This group has left a legacy that goes far beyond wins and losses. Through countless practices, long bus rides, tough games, and unforgettable memories, they have shown what it means to lead with heart, determination, and pride.

As they take this next step, we celebrate not only their accomplishments on the field, but the incredible young women they have become. The future is bright, and we have no doubt they will continue to chase their dreams with the same passion and perseverance that made them Patriots.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Thank you for the memories, the leadership, and the championship spirit. Once a Patriot, always a Patriot.

This week on High School SI, Northern’s Centerfielder, Melody Russell is nominated for Player of the Year. Mel’s offensive numbers were straight out of a video game this year: BA - .585; 50 Runs; 25 RBI (from the leadoff spot); 32 stolen bases and my personal favorite only 3 K’s in 96 plate appearances! It only takes a second!
