Maine Bound Adventure Center Maine Bound offers comprehensive outdoor experiences for students and community members of all skill

The Maine Bound Adventure Center is a renovated barn located behind the Memorial Union, between the Maine Center for the Arts and Sebago Road. The facility features a 32′ climbing tower, 45′ long x 12′ high bouldering wall, classroom space, and an outdoor recreation area for volleyball, barbeques, and picnics. It is the outdoor program on campus offering adventure trips, gear rentals, indoor rock climbing, and a full low and high challenge course.

HAPPY MAINE DAY OF GIVING !!!

Maine Bound has been changing lives for more than 40 years! Whether it is climbing in the gym, participating in a ropes course program, getting out on a trip, or renting outdoor gear, Maine Bound is a space for everyone to learn skills, make friends, and get outside. Recent donations have been used to fund staff training & certification opportunities, replace boulding mats in the climbing gym, and purchase new gear. Thanks to all our of our many community members and supporters! We appreciate you!

Earlier this year, Maine Bound felt the loss of a beloved staff member and friend.

Kasie’s kind nature impacted all of us that surrounded Maine Bound, anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him felt his radiating excitement about the climbing community.

The board dedicated to remembering Kasie’s impact has been heartening and we are beyond thankful for everyone who came in to share stories, memories, and feelings about his loss.

Kasie’s board will be digitized after May 6th. We urge anyone who would like to share memories or stories to continue to add to this board as they will become a digital album that will be accessible on the board via QR code.

Plans for a permanent recognition of Kasie’s impact on our Maine Bound family are underway and will be implemented within the next year.
