This past weekend, Maeve Russell competed in the Limit Fences and Limit Flat at IHSA Zone 1 Finals!

Maeve put down a beautiful course on Rusty and placed 4th out of the whole zone! She also placed 3rd on Reggie in Limit Flat!

Thank you to all the help we had to run an amazing show! We had some of our own riders make the trek out to Mt. Holyoke: Maryssa, Natasha, Nico, Sydnie, and Annika!

Thank you to our wonderful coach, Gail, for helping Maeve be the third UMaine rider to qualify for Zones! And congratulations to Maeve for having a great IHSA season!

Our season has come to an end, but we are all looking forward to next year!

Saturday is a big day!!

Maeve Russell is our third rider to ever go to IHSA Zone 1 Finals! She will be representing our region and team in Limit under saddle and Limit over fences.

Please help us cheer her on Saturday and wish her the best of luck!!

Our team had so much fun at Zone 1 Region 2 Finals this weekend! We had four regions qualifiers, two challenge class riders, and one cheerleader for the weekend!

Results for the weekend:
- Our Scramble Challenge Team, made up of Megan Mahar, Sydnie Brahan, and two NUEQ riders, placed 4th
- Sydnie Brahan placed 4th in both her intermediate flat and over fences class
- Maeve Russell placed 2nd in both her limit flat and over fences class, moving her onto Zone Finals
- Annika Sovetsky rode against 17 riders and put in a solid flat class in Novice
- Nico Durkee placed 4th in introductory flat

Thank you all to everyone who helped make this show possible, for all the amazing horses, the parents who came to support our awesome riders, and the our coach for helping us achieve our goals!

And that’s a wrap on regular season shows! Tomorrow, we have four riders competing in Regional Final Classes and two riders competing in the Challenge classes.

Our team has a blast at the Region 2 Community Show at Whishmaker Stables!

Each rider put there best foot (or hoof) forward at the first IHSA show of the semester!

Three of our riders gained enough points to qualify for Regionals, this Saturday!
- Nico Durkee in Introductory Flat
- Maeve Russell in Limit Flat
- Sydnie Brahan in Intermediate Fences
