A lot of people think they need more motivation to become consistent with exercise.
Honestly, motivation is the problem most of the time. Motivation comes and goes. Some weeks you have plenty of it. Other weeks... not so much.
What seems to matter more is making it easier to come back.
- Maybe that means your workout is only 20 minutes instead of an hour.
- Maybe you lift a little lighter because you didn't sleep well.
- Maybe you go for a walk instead.
- Maybe you show up and realize that's enough for today.
People get into trouble when every workout has to be the "ideal" workout.
Because life isn't ideal most weeks.
It's busy. You're tired. Plans change. Kids get sick. Work runs late.
The people who stick with exercise usually aren't the ones who have the most motivation.
They're the ones who have a version of the plan that still works when life gets messy.
And when they miss a workout?
They don't spend the next week trying to make up for it.
They just... come back π
