Had a few people request a pin loaded leg press. Most selectorized leg presses at most gyms I tried suck but this one doesn’t.

✅ The adjustability is great, can get a great starting stretch

✅ The mechanics are spot on

✅ The adjustable cam is an added bonus that gives the machine a lot more customization most don’t have

I designed and built this extra loading arm for the Hammer Incline press we have here at the gym. (The top black pin).

I actually like the Hammer Incline press as it came. The original Hammer curve was designed to match the body’s increasing pressing strength; I modified it to preserve more load where the pec is lengthened and taper resistance near lockout, where triceps contribution increases.

Depending on what the individual is trying to do, this can offer more customization on the resistance curve like the Prime and Strive machines we have.

I went through hours of pubmed studies so I could explain my reasoning. But end of the day try it and see what feels best for whatever you’re trying to do.

I just want the members here to have the best tools available to them for whatever their goal is.

New Equipment

We were over due for a good bicep curl machine and I think this checks everything off the list.

I actually have a hammer strength curl that I’ve been refurbishing, but it got bumped back on the todo list.

I’ve had this nagging forearm injury that has made arm training a nightmare. Especially doing curls since the strength curve of a curl is really heavy at the starting movement , which is why a lot of people swing when it gets to heavy. This machine makes it feel like butter.

A good machine should give you the right amount of resistance compared to its respective muscle, but taper off where you naturally want to cheat. To get a more even feel through the exercise.

Besides that it’ll be nice to train arms again without pain until I can fix myself 😂

Anyways, besides that I love the adjustability.

I saw someone else on here claim this is one of the rarest pieces of equipment. I don’t know if that’s true but I’ve been trying to find one for a while and can say this Nautilus Xpload Squat Press is worth every penny and the effort I had to go through to get it.

I’ve had a few people say the Arsenal leg press we have still hurts their back in deep knee flexion; this absolutely won’t do that.

More of a hip press feel, it has lots of adjustability and a great feel.

Got this new Arsenal chest press on the floor.

It has lots of adjustments including the pressing arm width to press wider or close grip, the back pad depth to have a deep starting stretch, and seat height.

The aesthetic of these machines are on point.

If you’ve been following along you probably know we recently have been expanding the gym into more space in our building. Part of that space came with a pretty rough looking garage door. I thought it would be cool to do a mural rather than just replace the panels. I found an artist online that I commissioned to draw the idea on illustrator so I could print on the new panels and this is how it turned out.

Here’s a quick run through of the Magnum Biangular Chest Press I refurbished.

When I bought it, I had some modifications in mind, but I wanted to get people’s opinions first to see what they like and dislike about it.
