A huge thank you to Edwards Family Farm and Trees for getting the first cutting done on two of our five hay fields! Excited to get the rest put up after the weather clears up. Barn will be full in no time. We’ll be shipping samples off on hay from all five fields once everything is cut.

Also thank you to everyone for helping out today- it was hot and the weather came in fast!

The barn also has some very exciting upgrades coming soon! 👀

I cried ringside today at Barneveld Horsemen's Association At Caernarvon Park ‘s show.

Two of our farm horses Ginny and Blanche attended their very first show today.

Blanche, an ex-Amish mare we purchased out of a kill pen in Pennsylvania on Christmas Day just a year and a half ago with the help of Horse Angel's Rescue 501c3 stepped into the show ring like she belonged there. Ridden by Paige Philips placed 1st and 5th in her classes against a large group of talented and competitive riders.

Ginny, our dual-registered Quarter Horse/Paint mare that we brought home last fall was recently brought back into work by Stephanie Rodman with SR Performance Horse’s . Today, ridden by Zay Brand, she earned 3rd and 4th place finishes in her classes among another strong group of riders.

While the placings were exciting, what made me the proudest wasn't the ribbons.

It was watching how incredibly well both mares handled every part of the day. They hauled beautifully, stood quietly, warmed up like seasoned show horses, and represented our program so well from start to finish. Blanche even tolerated another horse getting up in her business in the ring like she was a pro!

Seeing these horses come from where they started and perform the way they did today is exactly why we do what we do. So proud of these girls and everyone who has been a part of their journey.

More photos and show highlights to come, but tonight these two mares deserve a little extra recognition along with their riders!

First group trail riding outing was a success!

Every horse loaded up without hesitation, traveled well, and handled the new environment like seasoned pros.

One of our goals at is to develop well-rounded, confident horses that can do more than just work in the arena. That’s certainly one big pro of having so much acreage and various terrain to ride on here on the farm, though it’s still important to get them in new environments off the farm too!

Whether they're lesson horses, training horses, or personal horses, we’re building a herd of ponies that are learning to think through challenges, and become reliable partners both at home and away from the farm. Huge shout out to Stephanie Rodman with SR Performance Horse’s for making this first outing such a success.

Here's to many more adventures with this amazing group of ponies and riders! 🐴❤️

There’s something special about seeing your horses and farm loved enjoyed by others.

Watching Zaylee and Paige out on a trail ride with our mares Ginny and Blanche today brought a huge smile to my face.

The long days and endless projects are all worth it when we get moments like these. Seeing confidence grow, friendships form, and memories being made with our horses is what our farm is all about.

Thank you, Zaylee and Paige, for filling the farm with smiles, laughter, and happy horses. ❤️

The giggles echoing through the woods are the kind of reward that makes every bit of hard work worthwhile. Even if there was a bit of anxiety from Stephanie Rodman and I as we heard the trees getting trampled 😅
