The Iron Range Roll is a 16 mile downhill point-to-point family friendly yet competitive race from Ishpeming to Marquette on the beautiful Iron Ore Heritage Trail (IOHT). Cliffs Shaft Museum in Ishpeming to the iconic Ore Dock in Marquette, recreational enthusiasts of all ages and abilities will participate in a downhill excursion on their mountain or road bike. Connect Marquette is honored to partner with our sponsors, the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, Cities of Ishpeming, Negaunee and Marquette, Townships of Negaunee and Marquette, Michigan DNR, and the YMCA of Marquette County in the establishment of this annual recreation event that celebrates the connection of our communities along the IOHT. The Roll is an all-inclusive event that promotes fun recreation, healthy living, community connecting trails, and giving back. Racers will experience an adventure starting in Ishpeming-to-Marquette for a truly unique experience unlike anything else available in the region. "The Roll" gets its name from the 872 foot elevation descent and total 1,372 foot elevation loss along the trail route.
