From 1971 to 1996 Rick Trimble ran the Manasquan Hockey Club, an organization that introduced hockey to generations of athletes on the Jersey Shore. Its growth and success led to the formation of the first ever Varsity Hockey team at Manasquan High School. Trimble served as the Warriors first ever Head Coach and guided the team for two successful seasons in 1996-97 and again in 1997-98. In 1997-98 Trimble’s team became the first ever Manasquan High School Hockey team to qualify for the NJ State High School tournament, as its 15-9 record earned a conference finals appearance, and he saw his athletes win All Shore, Conference
MVP, and NJ State Sr All Star team accolades. Outside of his Varsity coaching, his contributions to the game and growth of Hockey in Manasquan included running street hockey camps, teaching on ice learn to skate programs and clinics, and helping with the construction ofthe original street hockey rink in Manasquan located a f ew feet to the south of its current location.

Please come out and support The Manasquan Hockey Community Friday, October 6th at 6pm for a Dedication ceremony. There will be music and food available at the dedication. Manasquan Hockey Alumni will be playing a benefit street hockey game immediately following the dedication. Cost to play is $20 with all proceeds to benefit the Manasquan Inline Hockey Association and the
Manasquan Recreation Department.
