🎣 MANASQUAN YOUTH FISHING CLINIC 🎣

Manasquan Recreation & the Manasquan Fishing Club are excited to invite local kids to our Youth Fishing Clinic at Mac’s Pond!

This hands-on clinic introduces young anglers to the basics of fishing in a safe, fun, and supportive environment led by experienced members of the Manasquan Fishing Club.

📅 Saturday, June 13
🕘 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
📍 Mac’s Pond, North Main Street, Manasquan
👦 Ages 5-11
👨 All children must be accompanied by an adult
💲 $10 per child

Kids will learn:
🎣 Fishing safety
🎣 Baiting hooks
🎣 Casting techniques
🎣 How to land and handle fish properly

Bait will be provided, and hooks/bobbers will be available if needed.

Applications are now open for the 2026 Reel Into Fishing youth programs hosted by Rutgers Cooperative Extension and the International Game Fish Association (IGFA).

These free 3 day educational programs are open to New Jersey students entering grades 5 through 10 in Fall 2026. Participants will learn about recreational fishing, fish biology, marine science, environmental careers, and more through classroom activities, field trips, and hands on fishing experiences.

Program Dates:
• Ocean County: August 11 to 13
• Burlington County: August 18 to 20
• Atlantic County: August 25 to 27

Applications are being accepted through June 5, 2026.

One of our more unique guest speaker topics but completely invaluable information for anglers in case of emergency. No one wants to be a helpless victim and when crisis hits we need to be prepared.
