Happy fall, y’all!!! 🍂🍁🎃 The “‘ber” months are here and just when you think it’s time to hang up your beach collecting bags, I say it’s the perfect time to continue heading to the beach for another few months of prime beach glass hunting!
So why do I recommend the “‘ber” months so highly? Here’s just a few reasons:
1. While summer vacationers come to Lake Erie, and all the Great Lakes beaches, mainly in June, July, and August, that leaves the rest of the calendar year, potentially, for a lot less crowded beaches. Especially in the fall when most people settle back into back-to-school time-of-year routines.
2. In addition, some people can be put off by the colder temperatures. Just grab an extra sweatshirt or coat for less chilly hunting.
3. Also, seasonal weather and winds often help move around more treasures.
4. Lastly, there are some locations along Lake Erie which charge entry fees or require patronage to their parks or restaurants before allowing access to their beaches. Once the summer tourism season is over, the beaches become free to access. As always, check those locations prior to visiting.
