Tried for perch in5 foot waves. Switched over to walleye and caught my limit in an hour. Better to be lucky than good.

Had a chance to fish again with my 2 sons and grandson. Captain Ryan Yonkers, Jason and Ryder Yonkers. Fished for a few hours and called it quits. The old man is too used to FL weather.

I’m not coming out of retirement but if you liked fishing with me you probably had Ryan for your first mate on Noah’s Ark. Captain Ryan Yonkers will be carrying on the Yonkers tradition moving from competitive fishing to fun fishing. I guess after being Team of the Year with his brother-in-law Cole Carlson in the Lake Erie Walleye Trail in 2021 there was nothing left to prove. His passion and love for fishing we are equals, but his knowledge, work ethic and knowledge of contours and honey holes on Lake Erie fishing has already made him a legend. Ryan Yonkers caught a 11.02 lb. 31.25 “ walleye to take over 1st place in the Spring Fish Crazy walleye derby. We handled somewhere between 40 to 50 walleyes. We had 6 fish Ohio’s but only kept this one to weigh in as we returned the rest of the big fish to swim another day. We filled our limit out with 4 to 6 lb fish. What a fantastic evening bite that wore this old dog out. Better to be lucky than good!
