Hi everyone,

First, a big thank-you to Ella, our summer help, for everything she has done this season. She has been a tremendous help, and we’re grateful for the energy and effort she brought to the velodrome this summer.

Although summer is winding down, we still have two Tuesday sessions left: this Tuesday and the Tuesday following Labor Day. Please note that we will not be racing over Labor Day weekend.

We’ve had to cancel some recent racing as summer schedules caught up with everyone—vacations, taking children to college, and finishing projects at home have all made it difficult to get enough riders together. That’s completely understandable and part of this time of year.

Looking ahead, we know some riders may be finished for the season. At the same time, we have newer riders who are eager to continue, regular riders who would like more racing, and college students returning to the area. We’d love to bring those groups together and keep the track active into the fall if there’s enough interest.

Before we create BikeReg events and arrange for officials, we need a realistic picture of who wants to participate and which dates will work. Please take a moment to complete this short survey:

Please respond before Labor Day—even if your availability is uncertain or you’re finished for the year. We’ll review everyone’s responses on Labor Day and make decisions about the schedule for the remainder of the season.

We’ve had a great summer, and it would be terrific to carry some of that momentum into the fall. Thanks for being part of it, and we hope to see you at the track soon!
