🫶🏼 congrats to the ladies of Brightside at today’s show!

Team Brightside had another great New England Jumpers Association show at Sassy Strides Equestrian!

✨ Courtney Lee and Silver Sunset had a clean sweep, earning top honors throughout the day, qualifying for New Hampshire Finals, and taking the win in the 2’3” Derby!

✨ Rose Reynolds captured wins in the Pony Hunter Pleasure and the Short Stirrup Equitation on the Flat, while also adding points toward New Hampshire Finals.

✨ Savannah Tjelmeland and Clover Star completed their first full division in the 2’3” Modified Adults, earning top ribbons, showing tremendous improvement throughout the day, and finishing 3rd in the 2’3” Derby!

✨ Makenzie Anderson, sharing Silver Sunset and only on her second ride on him this year, won both of her Short Stirrup Over Fences classes and earned 2nd place in the New Hampshire Medal.

We had a wonderful start to the season at .showpark this past week!

Mulans made her 1.10m debut ✔️ Ending the week Champion in the young jumpers.
Jenny & .eq made their 2’9” Hunter debut ✔️
And beezie was a wonderful angel baby giving of a great week in the jumper ring!

I’m incredibly proud to be coaching the talented riders of the Bowdoin College Equestrian Team—a group I’ve had the privilege of working with since 2023.

Over the past few seasons, I’ve watched these young women put in an incredible amount of hard work, dedication, and resilience. Together, they’ve been committed to rebuilding and elevating the program—restoring it into a competitive, respected sport within their college community. That kind of growth doesn’t happen overnight, and it certainly doesn’t happen without grit.

Competing within the IHSA format has pushed them to become adaptable, thoughtful riders—learning to succeed on a wide variety of horses while supporting one another as a team.

From fundamentals on the flat to confidence over fences, their progress has been impressive—but what stands out most is their work ethic and the culture they’ve created together.

As we head into the upcoming season, we’re continuing to build—and support makes a meaningful difference. If you believe in developing young riders, strong team values, and the future of collegiate equestrian sport, please consider supporting the Bowdoin College Equestrian Team.
