C S Peterson competed last weekend at the Iron Heaven Gyms Summer Showdown meet. This meet marked Chris’s return to the team under coach Desi Cooney - MS, CSCS after a ~3 year layoff during which Chris switched from equipped to raw, and lost about 50 pounds!

The day turned out stellar for Chris, including:
▪️A perfect 9/9 on attempts
▪️589 Squat
▪️424 Bench Press
▪️683 Deadlift
▪️1,697 Total
▪️448.3 DOTS
▪️Gold Medal in the men’s untested master 1 division
▪️The highest total of the meet

Team Outlier’s youngest member won BIG last week at USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals!

It was just Max trujillo second meet ever under coach Desi Cooney - MS, CSCS, and on the day Max managed:

▪️7/9 on attempts, missing only on downward motion calls
▪️363 squat (PR)
▪️231 bench (PR) missing 242
▪️441 deadlift (PR) missing 479 for a state record attempt
▪️1,036 total (PR) officially adding 61lbs since February
▪️Gold medal in the teen 1 100kg weight class

TEAM RECORD ALERT

At USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals last week, Tien Tran set the highest ever DOTS score in our women’s team history.

It was her 12th meet under coach Desi Cooney - MS, CSCS, and on the day, Tien managed:

▪️8/9 on attempts
▪️330 Squat (PR)
▪️181 Bench (PR)
▪️347 Deadlift, missing 369
▪️860 Total (PR)
▪️State records in the squat, bench, and total
▪️453 DOTS (PR)
▪️7th Place in the women’s open 56kg division

Despite an intense workload over the past few months of prep, Alex managed a solid day on the platform, including:

▪️314 Bench (missing a 325 PR attempt)
▪️611 Deadlift (PR)
▪️1,383 Total
▪️1st Place in the Men’s Open 90kg Division
