What a weekend for these CKC Chargers!

Let’s start with the fact that we went 0-4 in pool play. Yep, ZERO wins. 😂 Entering bracket play as the #8 seed, things weren’t exactly looking promising!

But NEVER count these girls out!

We opened bracket play with a win over the #9 seed, and then the softball gods either felt sorry for us or REALLY loved us, because the #1 seed forfeited and sent us into the next round. 🤷‍♀️😂

From there, these girls went to WORK! 💪

We battled a talented Wow Factor team for a hard-fought 2-1 victory, punching our ticket to the CHAMPIONSHIP!

After nearly 14 HOURS at the ballpark, two exhausted underdogs met in a championship game that did NOT disappoint!

We came out ON FIRE! 🔥 But by the final inning, we were running on fumes, and the Hopewell Lady Titans weren’t going down without a fight! They made a run, but our girls dug deep, pushed through the exhaustion, and found a way to FINISH!

12U CHAMPIONS! 🏆⚡️

But what makes me MOST proud isn’t the win. It’s HOW these girls played.

They competed hard, played for each other, celebrated each other’s successes, and won with humility. They showed kindness, respect, and the kind of sportsmanship that matters far beyond the softball field.

They carried themselves the way elite athletes should. 🩵

As one of only TWO 11U teams competing in this tough 12U tournament, these girls continue to prove they aren’t afraid of a challenge. They WANT to compete, they WANT to grow, and they aren’t afraid to get knocked down along the way!

Huge respect to the Hopewell Lady Titans for an incredible championship game! Two teams that left absolutely everything on that field. 💜.

0-4 in pool play. #8 seed. 12U CHAMPIONS.

Not a bad way to remind everyone that it’s not always about how you start. It’s about how you FINISH! 💪⚡️

And the best part? We’re just getting started.

We may be a day late, but we couldn’t let the opportunity pass to celebrate our sweet Ellie! 🥳

Ellie, we hope your birthday was just as special as you are! Your sweet personality, hard work, and love for the game make you such a special part of our CKC family! We are so lucky to have you wearing the Chargers uniform and can’t wait to see all the amazing things this next year brings for you!
